Who We Are

Camp Icthus held its first summer camp in 1988.

In 1992, Icthus Camping Ministry was incorporated as a 501© 3 non-profit organization.

Our purpose is to encourage a growing relationship with God in an outdoor recreation setting. Campers spend a week away from the “modern distractions” of our culture and enjoy activities such as swimming, fishing, playing games, meeting new friends and just having fun.  At the same time, they are learning about a real and personal relationship with God. Camp Icthus has a counselor/camper ratio of approximately 1:10.

Counselors have committed Christians above the age of 18 years old.  They are responsible for leading activities, small group Bible studies, and supervising campers in the cabin.  Counselors are selected on the basis of maturity and a heart for God. As a nondenominational organization, Camp Icthus only focuses on the fundamental elements of Christianity.

It is our commitment to provide each child with a clear understanding of the Gospel and how to grow in their faith.

The values and desired ends of Camp Icthus are to…

… bring glory to the Lord Jesus Christ.

… develop one’s relationship with God.

… allow God to demonstrate His power and provision.

… develop one’s relationship with others.

… enhance one’s vision for the salvation and spiritual growth of others.

… encourage one’s obedience to God’s Word.

… expose others to God’s attributes and character through that which is created.
