Teen Camp is designed for boys and girls 13-16 yrs. old who desire a deeper walk and commitment with Christ.
Teen Camp is an amazing week of experiential learning as adventure, service and leadership opportunities expose your character. We dive deep into the truth of God's Word and evaluate what it means to be identified as a believer in Jesus Christ. Our focus in all that we do is to deepen your intimacy with Jesus Christ as you come to learn more about WHO YOU ARE in and through JESUS!
You will be experiencing a unique discipleship/leadership development in a “controlled stress” environment.
LEARNING TO RESPOND TO CHALLENGE – These activities help persons develop a “Go for it!” attitude in developing their potential for Christ (Phil. 4:13). Persons are placed in a situation where they choose to accept the challenges placed before them. Positive response to challenges results in personal growth.
RISK-TAKING AND OVERCOMING FEARS – Those participating in the outdoor adventures will learn how to face and overcome their fears. The confidence gained in this outdoor laboratory will be transferred to the life of the individual as they learn to face their problems and fears in the same manner.
SPIRITUAL GROWTH – Since all the adventure activities are geared to the Bible Study themes, persons are able to relate to the biblical teachings experientially. Initiative serves to illustrate and reinforce the teachings of the study unit.
IMPROVED SELF-CONCEPT – Those learning to accept challenge, and respond to it positively, leave camp with an improved self-image.
KNOWLEDGE OF GROUP DYNAMICS – Participants learn to function as part of a group. Through group goals, discussions and activities the participants will learn how to function more effectively as a member of a group.
PROBLEM_SOLVING SKILLS – The initiatives teach individuals (and the group) how to identify problems, determine proper solutions and take action necessary for problem solution.
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT – Through solving problems leadership qualities are recognized and developed.
